Definition of terms


“We” and “Mbition” refers to Mbition, a subsidiary company of Compleo Sport Ltd.

“You” and “the user” refer to the individual user.

“Race Partners” refers to amateur and professional organisations who organise or facilitate mass participation running races. This could be event management companies, race organisers, charities, running groups or individuals.


What data do we gather?


When you register with Mbition we request a small amount of personal data such as your name, date of birth and weight to enhance your app experience to provide accurate data such as calories used.


We also ask for email address so we can send you summaries of your training progress and also subscription offers. By entering an email address and password you can access your training plans and run data on multiple devices or if you change phones.


As you record your runs we gather data on your training sessions, performance and progress towards your race goal.


What we use your data for


We use the data you share with us to

  • Create and personalise your training plan

  • Communicate with you

  • Improve and develop Mbition


Sharing your data


We will not sell your data to any third parties. However there are three instances where we may need to share your personal data with third parties.


  1. Business Transfers: In the event of a sale or merger of all or part of mbition as a business entity, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. In this situation we would inform users of the transfer of data ownership and any transfer would be carried out with data protection at the forefront of what we do.

  2. Contracted Third Parties: We hire external companies to provide some of our services, for example to deliver email campaigns and app development. This may involve sharing your data with third parties for them to undertake the work we contract them to do. They will only use your data to perform the function that we ask of them, and they will not retain your data or use it for their own purposes. We will always ensure that third parties have an adequate privacy policy in place before doing business with them.

  3. Legal Requirements: if requested to do so then we are legally obliged to share your data with relevant legal authorities. We may also pass personal details to the authorities if we believe a user is in breach of their terms and conditions, or to investigate criminal attacks on the integrity of our network.


We will not share your health information with any third parties.


Storing your data


Our data is stored on Amazon Web Services. Data on Amazon Web Services is protected by highly secure facilities and infrastructure, and extensive network and security monitoring systems.


Accessing information stored about you


You may at any time request to see all the data held about you. Please email to request this information. We will respond within 7 - 10 business days.


Payments and payment details


All payments are taken through SagePay. Mbition do not have access to or store your payment details other than keeping record of what subscription you have purchased and the renewal date.


Age restrictions and child protection


For health reasons we discourage users under the age of 16 from using Mbition. We believe in safe exercise and training for young people which should always be supervised by a fitness or medical professional.


We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us on and we will endeavor to remove that information from our databases. If you are under thirteen, please do not submit any personal information to Mbition.


Email communications


We will use the email address provided on your profile as outlined above. You can opt out of these at any time or following the unsubscribe list in the email.


We will still need to send you occasional service related emails regarding your account, payments/subscriptions, changes to our terms and conditions and/or changes to our privacy policy. It is not possible to opt of of these essential communications. We endeavour to keep these emails to a minimum.


Links to external sites


Mbition provides links within the app to third party pages, such as those of race organisers, running groups or charities. Race Partners also have the option to place information in their event listing which may link to external sites.


Mbition have no control over such sites and resources, we are not responsible or liable for any of the content, advertising, products, services or other materials on external and third party sites. We strongly advise users to consult the privacy policy on external sites before entering any personal information or making a financial transaction.


We would, however, encourage users to report to us any third party sites accessed via Mbition which they believe to contain inappropriate or unsafe content or that they find to be misleading, so that we can evaluate these links and if necessary remove them from the app or report them to our Race Partners.




We may use cookies, pixel tags or other similar tools on our websites or in our email messages. We monitor the actions of users on our site in order to improve site navigation and generate useful content. We monitor open and click rates in our emails to improve the standard and usefulness of our communications.


There are settings within most browsers to opt out of this kind of tracking if you do not wish to participate.  


Changes to privacy policy


Mbition reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time. In the event of changes being made we will update the policy on our website. In the event of major changes we will notify users by the best means possible, such as email or in-app notifications.




While Mbition works hard to protect your personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. Transmitting personal information is done at your own risk.


As part of the registration process users can set a password on their account. We strongly recommend that users use different passwords for all their internet activities and do not write their passwords down. Mbition can not be responsible for any breaches of privacy caused as a result of users disregarding this advice.
